About

EGO was established in 2006. A performance company that delivers accessible, original and diverse creative projects . EGO has recently we have developed an entire program of work to meet the needs of young people and adults with learning disabilities, providing training and opportunities in theatre making, music, comedy and film. Our venue was a concept imagined by young people and EGO is proud of the fact that it is the only arts venue in the UK that is programmed and managed by a Youth Management Team. We gained charitable status in 2012 and we are honoured to have Lady Susie Sainsbury as our Patron.

Disabled Access Information Provided by EGO Arts Venue

Disabled Access at EGO Arts Venue

Complete access for disabled visitors with double doors, all on one flat level with a gentle sloping forecourt. We are a charity and are in the process of raising funds to install a new Wheelchair lift so that our members can access all areas of our premises. At present all activities and the cafe are on the ground floor, but we are looking to extend our venue upwards so that we can provide more provisions!

Parking for disabled visitors is available to the rear of the building or can be dropped off right outside the front door.

Toilets features at EGO Arts Venue

The Disabled toilet is accessible for manual and powered chairs. There is a grab rail both sides of the toilet and an emergency pull chord. Sink and hand dryer at wheelchair level.

Accessible toilet

A designated accessible toilet designed for wheelchair users and others with visible and non-visible accessibility requirements is available within the main public areas.
