Eling Tide Mill Experience

The tidal mill is one of only 2 still working in the country. There has been a tidal mill on the site since 1066, and the current one is over 200 years old though restored in 20th century. Because of its age, there is little they have been able to do to make much of the mill accessible, but what they have done is very good. The ground floor is accessed via 'flexistairs' and, though the other floors aren't, there are good videos of how the mill works. (I left my wife in her wheelchair and explored the other floors, but there wasn't much more to see than the videos showed.) The visitors centre and cafe (across the road) are modern and easily accessed.
