I went to Elsie May's for lunch. On arrival the steps had a bell to get help with access. I pressed it several times and nobody came. Luckily I had someone with me who went to ask and they said the bell hadn't rung inside, so it must be broken! We were met outside and told there is a slope up to the rear entrance door. There is a lovely outdoor seating area and I was told the broken bell would be fixed and that the side gate should always be propped open for access. It was good it wasn't that day as it showed them the potential issues when things don't work! Inside was level, however the tables were all close together so getting through involved almost a total rearranging of furniture! There is also no disabled toilet at all and the staff were not very aware of their allergy friendly menu. The food, however was great and the staff super friendly.

There is disabled parking on the market square just for disabled people. However, the pavement is partially cobbled and cars were parked up on the pavement making me have to go into the road.
