    Overall Rating

    Poor

This two bay EV charging facility is located to the side of Gourock Railway Station. Sadly, it's the usual EV experience, limited access, narrow parking spaces and awkward positioning. Given that Gourock is a bit thin on the ground when it comes to EV cbargers, it's annoying that this is another instance of accessibility being overlooked.

    Disabled Access In and Around

It is not possible to move between cars with a mobility device and access the charging terminal. This is made worse by the fact that the machine is on a kerb, on a plinth, surrounded by a metal rail, with the card reader at the top of the machine. If accessing it from the pavement, there is a slope, which just adds to the complications. There are no alternative formats in use.

    Accessible facilities: Step-free entrance

Here’s the corrected version with UK English, improved flow, no Oxford commas and no em dashes: There is a single charging unit providing 22 kW Type 2 to both bays, but you must use your own cable as these are not provided. The spaces are no wider than standard parking spaces, which is disappointing and not very accessible. There are a variety of standard and accessible parking spaces in the wider car park and the ferry terminal is just next door.

Accessible facilities: Electric Vehicle Charging, Dedicated on-site parking

    Accessible Toilets

There are public toilets a short distance from the railway station or at the ferry terminal if you don't mind travelling a little more.
