Overview

I go to Farrer's quite often when in Scarborough. It's part of the Spa Complex at the far end of the South Bay. It feels a bit quieter than the cafes along the seafront. Access is pretty good, with accessible toilets, plenty of space in the restaurant and friendly, helpful staff.

Transport & Parking

I'll be honest, I don't know. I usually park at the Sea Life Centre (opposite end of the North Bay) and wheel myself round for a jolly good workout and a walk for my dog. There is parking around the Spa area, but not sure how much it costs.

Access

4.5

There is a ramp up a small step to get in with doors at the top that I need someone to hold open for me. However, you can also get in through the Spa entrance and turn immediately right. It's all on one level. Tables are well placed and a good height. Only slight niggle is there's no lowered bar for placing orders. The food was delicious (we had the Little Plates of Yorkshire) and was hot and served in good time. The tables were clean and there was plenty of space for my wheelchair and dog.

Toilets

The accessible toilet is out through the back of the restaurant. It is lovely and big but the weirdest layout! Every pair of things that should be together are as far apart as possible. Toilet & sanitary bin nowhere close. Baby changing table and nappy bin nowhere close. Sink and drier on opposite walls. Spotlessly clean but just not well laid out.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
