Excellent
One of the finest mediaeval halls in England and ground floor (hall and kitchens), cafe and shop accessible. I need to go back and check disabled toilet facilites (will update). No lift to extensive first floor. Limited grounds but good level access to town and riverfront.
Disabled Access In and Around
Average
Ground floor Hall and Kitchens are the main attractions so that is good news. The bad news is the rest of the building is inaccessible for wheelchairs and scooters.
Parking & Transport
Excellent
Ususally plenty of street parking outside Hall but there are several car parks nearby as well. If you arrive by bus or train it is a short trek to the Hall near the riverfront.
Staff
Excellent
Friendly and helpful staff. Carers go in free, plus all free for English Heritage members.
