Gairloch Museum

I have to echo everything in the previous review - it's really good! Interesting exhibits and multimedia, and a great wee gallery room showcasing some local art.

Great info of surrounding areas from vast geological times to 'recent' time ie lighthouses, to crofters and army. Cafe was lovely and staff all very helpful and friendly . Disabled parking bays right outside door, and even though doors were easy to navigate through, the staff immediately came to offer help opening door to let us in. Plenty of room for the chair with a lift to the next floor. Only tiny spot on the visit was the light in the toilet was on a timer and was very short and meant a little bit of fumbling in the dark for it to come back on. Not a issue really and something that I'm sure they can fix ( I admit I forgot to say anything so it shows how little it affected our visit ) At time of written it was."suggested" that you booked a 10 minute slot but we got in unbooked as it was quiet. All in all a great visit .
