Overview
And with a Changing Places loo!! We stopped for a coffee and sandwich. There’s a wheelchair accessible walk and a good playground for the kids. Amazing views (or would have been if weather better). Lots of info about ‘dark skies’ which would like to go back for. Interesting architecture - eco friendly and also designed to limit light pollution.
Transport & Parking
Dedicated blue badge parking with paved access right to door. Public transport will be more tricky I imagine!
Access
Lots of thought has gone into the centre and the building itself. Level access throughout and easy to navigate the shop and cafe. Tables and chairs can be moved around so can set up as needed. There are a few different walks you can do from the visitor centre - there is a specific wheelchair accessible walk which passes an accessible hide so you can watch birds and red squirrels. The path is flat and is a mixture of concrete or gravel. You can access the playground with a paved path but the surface of the playground itself is trickier to navigate…
Toilets
Toilets clean and tidy and well signposted. And they had a Changing Places!!!! (Although you have to ask staff for the key)
Staff
Helpful and friendly.
