    In Cairngorms National Park, Glenmore is Scotland's most northerly Forest Park, with Loch Morlich at its heart. With sandy beach and gorgeous surroundings, Loch Morlich is a well worth a visit, even if you don't fancy a swim! Elsewhere in Glenmore Forest Park you'll find lots of beautiful trails to explore and sights to see - you'll can get information and advice at Glenmore Visitor centre and enjoy a break at the Forest café.

    Fantastic Coffee Stop

    Gréât place to stop for a coffee and a bite to eat. We sat outside at the picnic tables and it was fantastic to be surrounded by the hills and fabulous nature!

    Forest by the highest beach in UK!

    From the forestry commission car park at Glenmore follow the red or yellow posts along side the shore of Loch Morlich and the Allt Mor burn and round to the car park all on good tracks. I did it on my mobility scooter.

    Disabled Access at Glenmore Forest Park - including Loch Morlich Beach

    Glenmore Forest Park Visitor Centre: There is a slight ramp up to the main door of the visitor centre, then step-free access throughout the building. The reception area desk is medium height and is not always staffed. Loch Morlich Beach is 400m west of the Visitor Centre. Additional toilets are available at the Boathouse on the Beach. There is 1 Blue Badge parking space at Loch Morlich Beach car park.

    Glenmore Forest Park Visitor Centre: there are 2 free Blue Badge parking spaces in the 2nd level of the car park, which enables you to access the visitor centre over a gently sloping path and bridge, rather than the steep path which climbs from the 1st level of the car park. Loch Morlich: there is 1 Blue Badge parking space at Loch Morlich Beach car park. Update Aug 26 We have recently increased our car parking space and have made sure there are now four disabled bays in the car park. They can be found in the bottom end of the new car park extension (same entrance as old car park) nearest the beach.

    Step-free access; unobstructed turning space of at least 150cm x 150 cm; width of the door is 85cm (2ft 9); spatula type level flush; emergency alarm. There is a toilet block operated by FLS at the beach.It is seasonal from Easter to end October and has one RADAR toilet cubicle. Approx. 25ms from the blue badged parking area. Update Aug 26 We have two regular toilets and a disabled toilet at the beach located near the disabled parking area (NH97291 09712)
