Halfords

On visiting this store with a friend I needed to go to the first floor. There was a wheelchair lift of a kind I had used many times before. So far so good. Entered the lift and went up. Then the problem arose. The exit was to the side! My powered wheelchair nor many others I know locally find this totally impossible to achieve as there is not enough space to turn. Halfords comments were basically that as long as the lift meets requirements for space then they have done there part! I find this ridiculous. What is the point of taking me to the first floor if I cannot exit the lift????????
