    Date of visit: March 2026

I am a disabled person. I have experience of challenges around: a hidden impairment, accessing toilets and moving around.

I use or have experience of: changing places toilet, disabled toilet, hidden impairment, powerchair, toilet with hoist, toilets, walking aid, wheelchair

Accessible toilet? It's hardly a toilet. I've had the dubious privilege of visiting a large number of accessible toilets, and this is up there, or down there with the worst I've ever been to.

    Disabled Access In and Around

The pavement on approach is level, and the door opens outwards.

I travelled to this place by personal vehicle

There is a bus stop outside. Personally, I'd get on that bus to find another loo.

There are two plus points. There is no RADAR lock, which is handy if you've forgotten your key, and it has a roof. The pan is on the rear wall and has wooden blocks rather than a seat, along with a VERTICAL grab rail. Something I haven't seen before or since. There was rubbish on the ground and the sink didn't have any soap. Thank goodness for hand sanitiser! The toilet is compact, but wide enough for a manual wheelchair, not that I'm suggesting you enter it.
