Overview

This is a well cared for farm shop, very clean, with good quality food on display, and although it seems to be maintained by home workers with diy skills it still shows they care about appearance and paintwork is in good order. OUR REVIEW We arrived at a hard surface, well maintained car park, with three disabled bays right by the entrance to store (photo 1) and the appearance of building was that of people who care, with a good selection of plants in excellent condition (2) and we found a good easy ramp to get to the door (3). Inside there was plenty of room to move around (photo 4) and we found a good variety of veg all in really good condition (5) and all the counters were well looked after and in good order (6 and 7). We were pleased to see a good selection of bread available (8) and the dairy, meats are in good condition, and so easy to move around to see it all (9, 10 and 11) Outside, a path leads towards a number of well maintained huts, containing various sections, with a small garden supply area, and a coffee shop (photos 12 and 13). Just beyond these, to our surprise we found the Avon Vale model engineering society,s Miniature railway, (photo 14) which looked so interesting, but being winter it was all closed off, but when opened, it would be very busy as it’s a lovely little railway to see, and have a ride on, and not just kids either (photos 15 to 18). OUR FINAL THOUGHTS We both liked the whole place, it was clean and tidy, food was in excellent condition, a bit expensive as all farm shops seem to be. You could easily while away some time, with the train and coffee shop, and in the shop itself. The train would delight both children and adults.

All willing and friendly enough, certainly proud to work here as the clean and tidy, and well looked after store shows.
