Hotel stay to watch a hundred cricket match
We booked a fully accessible bedroom with pitch side view and balcony . To watch the Manchester Originals hundred cricket. We drove here on the Sunday as the match was Monday .the hotel is part of Lancashire cricket club .it was easy to find from the motorway. Car parking is over the toad from the hotel and is s secure car park with gates and security guards. There was parking for approximately 700 cars . Our room was excellent. Plenty of space for the wheelchair and for me to get around. The bathroom is a wetroom with raised toilet something you don’t see very often, plenty of grab rails a shower seat easy to use taps and lower sink. There’s also a fridge, tea and coffee as well.there’s a large patio door out onto the balcony which has a table and bar stools. A great view of the pitch which was slightly to our right. The only thing I would say was as I couldn’t use the bar stool we used a couple of pillows folded in half to raise me up to see over the top of the clear barrier. But it worked really well. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant which was very good . Staff were really helpful. Many of the players from both cricket teams also stayed at the hotel and were in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast . Which made it extra special . The match was on the Monday .security at the hotel is tight on match days and we were issued special wrist bands to allow us access to and from the hotel and into the food court , Lancashire cricket shop, the security guards were great assisting us. Staff at the cricket shop were also very helpful . Food in the hotel is limited on cricket days. We had an amazing time and I would certainly go again .
