Overview
Good experience with no accessibility problems. There are spa facilities but I didn’t try them so not sure about accessibility. Quite expensive but very comfortable.
Transport & Parking
You need a car as the hotel is out in the country. There are a few blue badge spaces but a distance from reception. You could probably drop off near the door. Parking is free.
Access
The reception area is fully accessible. There’s a lift to all floors. Staff carried out a personal escape plan and were trained to use an evacuation chair. The accessible bedroom has lots of space to manoeuvre in a wheelchair and the bathroom has a wet floor shower with wall mounted seat and lots of grab and folding rails. The toilet has grab rails on both sides and an adjustable height wash hand basin. The bed is quite high. No drawers to put clothes in.
Toilets
Public accessible toilet is very cramped but has rails.
Staff
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
We stayed for 4 nights and it was a really good experience. There’s a golf course attached to the hotel so there’s a lovely outlook. The food and drink are expensive so we ate out in Tewkesbury. I would recommend a stay here for the good accessibility. My husband used the spa facilities and enjoyed them.
