    About

    Tewkesbury Nature Reserve is a short walk from Tewkesbury Town centre of town along Barton Street and just past the hospital, opposite Morrison’s supermarket. It covers an area of 44 hectares (108.7 acres). A mix of flood meadow and pasture and situated on the edge of the historic town of Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire, it is just minutes from the M5 motorway. The Reserve is home to a thriving community of birds, butterflies and wildflowers. The main aim of the nature reserve is to protect, improve, and conserve the natural environment, and enhance the biodiversity of the site. The benefits of spending time experiencing the sights and sounds of nature can help with recovery from illness, as well as help to reduce stress and anxiety.
