Fabulous building but staff need some awareness training

    Date of visit: July 2024

I am a carer or friend of a disabled person and a general supporter of disabled access. I have experience of challenges around: a hidden impairment, accessing toilets, seeing and understanding.

The views are amazing and worth a visit. Facilities all accessible with multiple lifts and accessible toilets. Unfortunately our visit was marred by a member of staff who tried to stop us returning up a flight of stairs to use an accessible toilet because the one on the main floor was closed. ‘But are you disabled’ was shouted down to myself and teenage daughter. She did then apologise but that experience really spoilt the visit especially for my very private daughter. #not all disabilities are visible
