The Maritime Museum is managed by the Hull city council and It is located in the centre of Hull close to the Princes Quay shopping complex. The Princes Quay complex offers, shops, restaurants and disabled parking. The museum offers a history of the maritime culture and seafaring industry within Hull and is situated within a beautiful listed building. The maritime museum is free of charge however donations are welcome and bookings can be made prior to visits. There is a shop where you may purchase memorabilia and other items. The staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Alternative level access is available and a button for assistance is clearly identifiable. The building has disabled access to all areas and a toilet is available with alarm cord for those that require it, equipment could be improved within the toilets with the addition of hand rails. The exhibit available was enjoyable and interesting however signposts for access could have been improved.

I feel that the signs could be improved, however i had no difficulty accessing all areas of the museum, seating and elevators where available.
Parking & Transport
Good
while the museum does not have a car park, due to its location, parking and transport links are available and access friendly.
Accessible Toilets
Good
the toilet facilities where clean, spacious and easily accessed, with an alarm cord fitted however equipment could have been improved with handrails.
Staff
Excellent
all members of staff i approached where helpful and friendly, with knowledge of the building and its exhibits.
