This excellent gastro pub/restaurant is part of a chain of 3 - http://www.thegrumpymole.co.uk. I visited the Brockham restaurant near Betchworth which is set on the edge of the village green. There is wheelchair access at the rear which is sign posted but you need to ask someone to open the rear door for you. This was not a problem as I rang in advance. Friendly service, excellent food cooked to order from an extensive and varied menu, 3 disabled parking spaces and an accessible toilet. You need a car to visit

Good
The wheelchair entrance had a sign from the car park but you did need to ask someone to open the rear door. This maybe because there is currently building work to extend the restaurant.
Parking & Transport
Good
You need your own transport but there are 3 disabled parking spaces set. The car park is gravel which did make it difficult to traverse in wheelchair.
Accessible Toilets
Average
There is one large accessible toilet. This was clean. Only 3 stars because the door opened inwards and it was not possible to turnaround which meant exiting the toilet virtually impossible. After 5 attempts at holding the door and trying to reverse I phoned one of my friends at the table to rescue me.
Staff
Excellent
The member of staff who let me in and out was very friendly as was our waitress.
Additional Information
I will definitely visit again. Excellent food and clearly very popular as it was fully booked on a Tuesday lunch time. Pricey but the quality of food was very good. Another great accessible venue.
