Well worth visiting although accessibility is constrained.

Visited on a holiday weekend. Advance booking was easy and disabled visitors and their carers pay no charge. We could only access ground floor with wheelchair but this gives a clear idea of the castle and an I-pad is available for visitors who can't access upper rooms. Estate has made an effort to cope with all visitors to a historic building and family home.

One of the most inaccessible places we've visited but could easily be improved

We visited Inveraray Castle as we were travelling that stretch of the A83 from Kintyre to Loch Lomond, and we hoped it would provide a short break from driving. It was easy to find and we were travelling by motorhome. They had marked out parking for motorhomes, which was really positive.
