The Isle of Man Steam Railway is a historic narrow gauge steam railway connecting Douglas to Port Erin in the south of the Isle of Man. Visitors can take a scenic journey through the Manx countryside onboard original Victorian locomotives and carriages, sample local food and wine in the fine dining car, or explore heritage attractions and coastal views along the route.
Service trains carry a ramp to provide wheelchair access to carriage compartments with double doors, with space for up to two wheelchairs per train. Advanced notice by telephone is recommended to arrange assistance. Ramp access is not available at Santon, Ronaldsway Halt, Ballabeg, or Colby Level stops due to low platform heights, and class 2 mobility scooters can be carried.
