Overview
We spent the day at Johnstown, wheeling around the grounds, having lunch at the cafe, and visiting the museum. The access was excellent throughout, with a decent, accessible toilet, level access and a circular walk/roll around the lake. Brilliant. https://johnstowncastle.ie/getting-here/
Transport & Parking
There is a spacious carpark with accessible spaces on a hard, tarmac surface, There was then level access into the cafe/grounds.
Access
I used a (non powered) third wheel add-on attachment on my manual chair, and this worked well. The weather had been dry when we visited; the surfaces may have been difficult to negotiate if it had been wet. The circular walk had lovely, wide pathways (see photos).
Toilets
A spacious, spotless accessible loo was situated in the cafe. There may have been more, but this was the one that I used. It had vertical and horizontal grab rails.
