At Kingfisher Barn, discover a range of 6 characterful self-catering properties and 10 en suite bed and breakfast rooms in our delightful 17th-century barn conversions. A lovely venue for holidaymakers and business travel alike, enjoy Abingdon in Oxfordshire and its historical surroundings. The courtyard at Kingfisher is where you will find our B&B rooms, with ground floor step free access, individual front doors, free superfast wifi and the all important tee and coffee facilities. One of our rooms has an accessible bathroom, featuring grab rails, a wet room/roll in shower and a lowered sink and mirror. A number of our self-catering properties have accessibility features, namely ceiling tracking for hoists, step free access, ground floor bedrooms and wet room bathrooms. All of our accommodation is dog friendly, we know it's important your four-legged companion doesn't miss out on the adventure!

Disabled Access at Kingfisher Barn

Car park to Reception - Tarmac, one level, no steps/stairs, a small slope up to the reception doors Reception - Manual double doors, opens outwards and can be latched open (one is normally kept locked but can be unlocked and opened to allow a wider access point) Courtyard (B&B area) - One level, tarmac and then paving slabs Accessing B&B rooms - One level, no steps/stairs, some rooms have a small lip at the threshold. Accessing breakfast cabin - Small ramp and small lip at threshold Accessing self-catering accommodations - Either one level or slight ramp (there are some small lips over the threshold of some properties) Stable Cottage and Kyte & Kestrel Lodge all have ceiling tracking for hoists. We do not supply electric hoists and slings but can arrange for the hire of a hoist on guests behalf. These properties, along with Hazel cottage, also have accessible bathrooms. Each property has a wet room in which we can add a shower chair. Most bathrooms have grab rails around the loo.

We have a very large private car park at the front of our property. There are spaces right next to reception and there is a drop off/pick up point closer to our cottages. There are no steps or stairs. The far part of the car park is gravel as opposed to tarmac.

Spacious living room with separate kitchen. Main bedroom, and family bathroom have ceiling tracking. Loo with grab rails. Main bedroom has en suite with roll in shower, for which we can provide a shower chair. Hazel cottage (sleeps 3) - two bedrooms, one bathroom, open plan kitchen-living room all at ground level with step free access. Large main bedroom. Bathroom with roll in shower, for which we can provide a shower chair, and grab rails next to loo. Kyte lodge (sleeps 8) - two bedrooms (one with en suite), spacious wet room, kitchen and large living room all at ground level with step free access. A further two bedrooms (one with en suite) upstairs. Ceiling tracking in downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms (also with grab rails). Open living area and wide front doors for wheel chair users. Slight lip at front door threshold. Kestrel lodge (sleeps 8) - three bedrooms (one with en suite), spacious wet room, kitchen and large living room all at ground level with step free access. Accessible services at Kingfisher Barn

All of our accommodation is pet friendly. We can arrange for the hire of a ceiling hoist on behalf of the guests, this will be installed by the hoist engineer ahead of the guests stay. In some properties we can make space for the hire of a profiling bed. Guests will need to arrange the hire of this but we are happy to liaise with the delivery team and get the bed in place prior to the guests arrival. Shower chairs can be provided for any of our wet room bathrooms.

Breakfast is included in the price of our B&B rooms, if guests let us know in advance we can cater for dietary requirements. We have some gluten and dairy free options as part of our breakfast selection as standard. Breakfast not included for self catering properties. Free superfast wifi across all of our accommodation. Book online via our own website, any additional requirements can be added to the online booking form. Alternatively, we can book you in over the phone and discuss any specific requirements in the process. There is a floorplan for each property on it's page of our website. Happy to send video tours of any property prior to booking.
