Malt whisky distillery, Kingsbarns Distillery and Visitor Centre, is set in a renovated farm steading 6 miles from St Andrews, between Crail & Kingsbarns in the East Neuk of Fife. It opened in December 2014 and is producing spirit that will become Kingsbarns Single Malt Whisky. Visitors can tour the distillery, exhibition and 18th Century doocot; see the whisky production process and sample the Kingsbarns Spirit and Wemyss Malts whiskies. A shop sells whisky, gin, wine and a range of merchandise including Glencairn glassware - and the cafe serves a selection of beverages, soup, sandwiches and cakes. Open 7 days a week.

Copper Stills, Gin Bottles, Coffee and Cake

Being used to the more traditional style of distillery we weren't too sure quite what to expect. What we discovered was an oasis of excitment to stimulate the nasal passages, the taste buds and the understanding of why whisky is so important to Scotland. If you then add in a lovely cafe with an 'oh so tempting' menu, great staff to guide you, and a beautiful countryside setting you have the makings of a five star visit!

Step-free entrance with wide double doors. Level access on both ground and first floors. Wide corridors in public areas. Platform lift to first floor tasting rooms. Platform lift in distillery to access upper production area.

Our own car park with ample parking spaces for cars and coaches. Approx 25 meters from car park to entrance door - level access, no steps.
