This was our second visit to the hotel and we were looking forward to see if some of the suggestions we had made in our previous visit had been carried out. The accessible room is in the Hotel annex the Kings Mills club which is at the other side of the car park. The room is extremely spacious with two bathrooms one normal bathroom and one wet room. This is the first hotel I’ve ever seen that did this. With ample space to move around the room the bed height let the Hotel down again as trying to transfer from a Wheelchair onto a bed that is around 30 cm higher than your own seat is extremely difficult with or without a transfer board. The mattresses could do with replacing, they have put a memory foam topper on the mattress which not only made the mattress even higher but didn’t increase the comfort any. The hotel is extremely accessible with ramps and elevators taking you to the various levels. The accessible toilets are large and easy to get in and out of. The disabled parking bays are close to the front door of the hotel and they have space at either side of the bays.

The Hotel has stepped free access and automatic doors to get inside and the door with once opened is wide enough for Wheelchairs to go through one door rather than having to open two. There are elevators to the upper floors and an elevator to the lower floor where the function room is. There is a removable ramp to get you into the lower half of the dining room which staff are only too eager to provide.

They have multiple disabled parking bays right by the front door which are extremely handy as the car park does get busy when events are on.

Very spacious accessible toilet just round the corner from the bar with the correct internal bar on the door to allow you to close it and all the usual facilities you would expect.

Excellent
The staff in the hotel were fantastic and could not do enough for you. I did have some communication with the Hotel members prior to arrival and when I arrive The introduced themselves and let me know that they were the ones that were dealing with my requests. Definite 10 out of 10.
