    Knole Park

    About

    Knole, Sevenoaks

Knole is a grand historic mansion and sprawling medieval deer park located on the edge of Sevenoaks town centre. Visitors can explore the vast 1,000 acre estate, which is home to a famous herd of wild fallow and sika deer. The site features a historic house with celebrated showrooms displaying royal furniture and textiles, a conservation studio where specialists work on historic artefacts, and a second-hand bookshop. Outdoor enthusiasts can follow various colour-coded walking trails through the woodland and valleys or enjoy refreshments at the onsite café.

    Accessibility Highlights

The venue provides 16 marked parking spaces for Blue Badge holders on a surface of hard meshed grass and gravel. Step-free level access is available at the main entrance and throughout the visitor reception area, which includes a hearing assistance system at the counter. Accessible toilets are located in the Porter’s Lodge and near the Brewhouse Café, featuring manual doors and various grab rails. While much of the parkland consists of uneven ground, there are some hard-standing paths and a stile-free trail suitable for those seeking a more level route. Visitors can also borrow manual wheelchairs or all-terrain mobility scooters from the visitor centre by booking in advance.
