Overall Rating
Good
This was a very simple tram stop. It’s one of the main city centre stop and is located near to a lot of restaurants. It has two platforms on either side of the tram tracks. They have shelters on each platform with perching benches in them. There is also a ticket machine and help point on each platform. The end of the platform slopes downward to meet the level of the pavements around it. The name of the stop is clearly signposted and there are overhead signs with information about incoming trams and where they are going. At the edge of the platforms there are tactile markings and there are also wheelchair symbols on the platform floor to show the best place to wait to be closest to the wheelchair spaces on the tram.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
There are dropped kerbs to transfer between the two different tram platforms. There are tactile markings across the width of the platform when it starts to incline up to the platform height. There are also tactile markings down the length of both platforms at the edge of the platform. The platforms had some shelters with perching benches in them, similar to a bus shelter. The platforms also had ticket machines and help points on them. The help points have a large yellow square painted on the floor in front of them to make them easier to find. The platforms are raised so that they are level with the trams when they stop. There are wheelchair symbols on the platform floor which indicate where the wheelchair spaces are located on the trams. There are also wheelchair symbols on the door closest to those spaces as well. The trams usually require you to press a button on the door to open them to board or disembark which I found was sometimes a bit tricky for me in my wheelchair with my power attachment on the front. If you are in the wheelchair space and are getting ready to disembark, there is a blue button to let the tram driver know that you are wanting to get off and they should provide more time. The gap between the tram and the platform was very minimal so it was very easy for me to get on and off the trams on my own.

Parking & Transport

I travelled to this place by tram
There are two tram platforms. One provides services travelling towards Clifton South and Toton Lane and the other provides services that travel through the city centre and continue towards Hucknall and Phoenix Park.
Staff
The tram stops are unmanned but there is always a driver on each tram and there is a help point on each tram platform which can connect you to a member of staff.
