Excellent
We visited here while on holiday in the area. The park isn’t that big we spent about 4 hours here. There are three blue badge parking spaces near the entrance.although one not easy to park in. Entrance is via a slope and is easy. Getting round the park not too bad although some paths are rough terrain while others tarmac or gravel .but my scooter managed well with no issues . Might not be so easy in a wheelchair. Carers go free on production of the carers allowance letter. You can purchase food to feed alpacas .goats, sheep, pigs and donkeys. Despite the zoo being small there’s plenty of animals to see. Including lemurs, tapir. Red panda, cats. We had lunch in the cafe onsite which had a good selection to suit all tastes .sandwiches are made to order. It was a nice day out staff were friendly and helpful
Disabled Access In and Around
Excellent
Access into the park easy all on one level as is the entrance to gift shop and cafe. Getting around the park was ok with my scooter despite some rough terrain in places, other paths were either concrete or gravel .probably not so easy with a wheelchair.
Parking & Transport
Good
Only a couple of blue badge spaces near the entrance, one of which wasn’t easy to park in . As the park is out in the countryside we didn’t notice any public transport. There is also a large car park a few minutes walk from the entrance but this had no blue badge spaces
Accessible Toilets
Good
There is an accessible toilet not too big but it had grab rails .
Staff
Excellent
The staff we meet were knowledgeable about the animals , we had a number of questions about an experience they do which we were interested in finding more about . They were able to answer all our questions about this and were prepared to alter things to meet my needs if I wanted to do the experience at another time .
