Overview

I am glad that Le Pub has built a disabled toilet, but it kind of stops there. The toilet does not use the radar key system, and if locked, you must ask for it to be unlocked by a staff member at the busy bar, causing time to be wasted when a disabled person needs the bathroom urgently. The bathroom is situated behind the pool table which was in use for the whole night I was there - meaning as a disabled person, I had to queue at the bar, communicate in a loud environment with bar staff, then navigate drunk people using pool cues in order to use the toilet. The room that has gigs in it, despite being on the ground floor, has three steps up to it, making it inaccessible for a lot of disabled people. A man who said he was a shareholder in the business followed me around for large portions of the night, explaining to me why the venue was not accessible. I am autistic and was there to see my friend, but he wouldn't leave me alone and made me feel very uncomfortable. I felt like a spectacle.
