Leeds City Library is the largest public library in Leeds. Located between Town Hall and the Leeds Art Gallery, the library includes general fiction and nonfiction collections in addition to specialist departments for art, music, business, and local and family history. The library runs numerous events including exhibitions, story & rhyme sessions for children under 5s, art and craft sessions, music performances, and history talks. Meeting room space can be booked by community groups. The library is located in a listed Victorian building that can be challenging for access but has stunning heritage features.

Disabled Access at Leeds City Library

Accessible entry to the Library is via the accessible entrance on the south side of the building (facing Victoria Gardens). The lift will take you to all floors. Accessible toilet is available next to the lift in the basement at the building entrance level. An additional accessible toilet is located on the 1st floor in the Art Library.
