Overview
We had a lovely afternoon at Levens Hall. Although there is disabled parking we didn’t see it, but we weren’t too worried as we have a WAV vehicle with access at the back. Parking was free. My mum was in a wheelchair and I was pushing so I got in free. The gentleman in the ticket office was very friendly and helpful. The paths around the gardens are mostly gravel with some grass. I found it quite difficult to push the wheelchair on the gravel. The gardens are beautiful and the impressive Topiary made the gardens feel a bit like something from Alice in wonderland. There was level access to the gift shop. We didn’t visit the cafe but there is a little takeaway bakery with outdoor seating. The house isn’t accessible to wheelchairs because of its age but the gardens are worth visiting as long as you have someone fit to push a wheelchair over the gravel.
