We hired a meeting room for a half-day strategy session for our junior sports team committee. I received a very warm welcome from the LifeCare team member who looked after us. This venue is an absolute gem. Nestled in the heart of Stockbridge. It has so many accessibility features. LifeCare provides positive support for older people. However, on weekends it's facilities can be rented by the public. There was a children's birthday party taking place the same day - and I recall taking my children here for toddler parties over a decade ago! The cafe is closed weekends, but was being used for a dance class. It's great to be able to support this fantastic charity by renting its facilities or dropping into the cafe during the week.

    Parking & Transport

I travelled to this place by walk or wheel

No fault of the venue- but the parking is not great. No dedicated accessible parking. It is a very busy city area with controlled parking restrictions in action. I didn't catch where the nearest pay & display is, because I walked. Please see my photo. To balance this - the area is well-served by buses.

Accessible facilities: Public or on street parking

    Accessible Toilets

So many toilet types! There is a closomat toilet. There is also an accessible loo that had really good transfer spaces (both left and right) - this toilet also had a shower in it with a shower seat. It also had a baby change area. There were more baby change facilities within the ladies loos. I really loved that there was an emergency red cord in every toilet within each cubicle!

    Facilities: Closomat toilet, Accessible toilet
