Good
A great small independent bookshop. I could have spent ages browsing the books, so many great options and really well laid out into genres. I look forward to visiting again.
Good
I really love the fact that they have the video showing you what it will be like before you visit. I'd love to see more places doing this as it gave me more of an idea of what to expect. It is great to see in the video that they have a portable ramp, I didn't need to use it on my visit so can't comment on it and I'm not sure how you would get their attention so that it could be used. Once inside it is fairly small so there are some narrow sections but they have done their best to make sure there is as much space as possible to navigate around. The numbers were limited when I visited, I imagine it might be harder to move around when it is busy but not a problem if you are happy to take your time. The shop is all on one level with wooden floors and a few rugs.
Good
There is some on street parking on West Nicolson Street and the surrounding streets but it can be quite busy. There are bus stops nearby on Nicolson Street, this is a main bus route with the 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 14, 29, 30, 31, 33, 37, 47 and 49 all stopping on it. The 41 and 42 buses go along Chapel Street.
Excellent
The staff were really great and I'm sure they could tell you where a book is or help you get one that is out of reach. I also loved meeting their dog who just wanted to play! Overall it was a really nice atmosphere and they do have a great selection of books.
