Overview
The Liston was built during the French occupation of Corfu and is a copy of Rue de Rivoli in Paris. There are a series of arches with numerous cafes and restaurants. Popular with both locals and tourists alike. Nice place to relax and people watch, however personally preferred the tucked away cafes in the Old Town.
Transport & Parking
Corfu Town is a short 5 – 10 minutes’ drive by taxi from Corfu Airport. There are buses that serve the town centre and taxis are plentiful and quite reasonably priced.
Access
Option to sit in a café under the arches or in the alfresco seating area opposite. Some restaurants have some steps.
Toilets
No public toilets, I assume some of the cafes will have toilets. I doubt if they will be accessible.
Staff
Staff in individual cafes.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
This is a famous landmark in Corfu Town and very popular. Nice spot but there are also plenty of other nice hidden away places too. I would suggest doing this at least once but also explore the rest of the Old Town too.
