Overview
We stopped off here for lunch on the recommendation of our son, who visited a couple of years ago. I'm so glad we did! We had the most amazing lunch and the place was great for access. The only thing that could be improved is the car park surface.
Transport & Parking
We arrived by motorhome. It is just off the A83 at the top of Loch Fyne. The car park is huge but serves several businesses, including a garden centre, so it does get quite busy. There is blue badge parking near the entrance but we parked at the far end where we wouldn't cause an obstruction with a big vehicle. The car park has a rough and uneven surface so wasn't easy to cross in a normal wheelchair. I managed but some tarmac would improve it considerably.
Access
The layout of the restaurant is very open with lots of space to move around. It's all on one level and access is excellent. You can go through to the deli and shop without going outside, so that was easy too.
Toilets
Toilets are at the back of the restaurant, down a corridor. When I saw the corridor I wondered how I was going to open a door and still have space to move, but the door concertinas so it doesn't block. It wasn't huge but was clean, had grab rails and the hand dryer worked.
Staff
The staff were great! Nothing was too much trouble. They even helped out with information for our next stop off.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The food was unbelievable! The oysters are to die for!
