Overview

What a delightful treat this Chinese restaurant is, modern, nicely decorated, clean and tidy, providing delicious Chinese treats in a cosy atmosphere. It stands in the lively eating district of Brindley Place with excellent restaurants all close to the canal district of Birmingham city centre, and looks inviting as you draw close (photo 1) with easy access for your wheelchair. As you step inside, the restaurant is warmly lighted, dimmed to offer atmosphere (photo 2) with a bar that offers enough of a choice over dinner (photo 3). It opens at 4.00pm, which suits us well, so we had a choice of seating and offered a place where we could leave the wheelchair by us (photo 4). Then an extensive enough menu was provided, that needed concentration as to what to chose (photo 5) We started with the duck and pancakes, why not ah ? Enough for the two us to share, with 6 pancakes and more than enough shredded duck, beautifull presented, cooked well and crispy (photo 6) so a real treat to start with. We had the Singapore vegetable noodles, delightful, and so filling, and the chicken in black bean with a huge portion of fried rice (photo 7) a really nice Chinese dinner, well done to them. Toilets are upstairs, but if you ask, a disabled toilet is available on your level, which is clean and tidy, well maintained and has grab rails and pull cord (photo 8) Just as we were leaving, they brought us a sweet treat (photo 9) compliments of the restaurant, and really nice too, just ideal to end our delightful evening with them If you are in the area, we most certainly recommend this restaurant to you.

Transport & Parking

0.5

Car parks near here are far to expensive so had to park a long way away then push wheelchair across to it. Pouring with rain when returning, no where to shelter, so this is something you need to keep in mind.

Access

4

The restaurant is situated in BRINDLEY PLACE alongside the canal area of city centre and can be a bit of a push, depending on the route you take, but if you arrive along Broad Street on the metro tram, you can find a level walkway to reach Restaurant. Inside it is easy enough to find a place to put your wheelchair, to either sit in it or take a table chair.

Toilets

There is a disabled toilet available, men and ladies share, but not at the same time of course, but you may not get your chair inside, had to leave ours by the table, but it is clean and tidy, with grab rails.

Staff

Very nice and helpful, young people so a bit shy to start with, but offered a good service.
