Overall Rating
Good
Small beach but numerous cafes and typical seaside shops. Lovely for an hour or two.
Disabled Access In and Around
Excellent
No steps but you park about 200 metres from the beach and half of this is a slope. You can hire a Tramper (large scooter = £2) from the Visitors Centre and this makes things far easier. There is also a short hilly trail that you are given instructions for which has nice views and is lovely on a sunny day. There are signs for where the trail goes and you are handed the route when you pick up the Tramper.
Parking & Transport
Good
Very large car park but does cost £4 for 2 hours.
Accessible Toilets
Average
Has grab-bars and is reasonably clean but is rather small (no room for a carer) and you would need a quite small scooter/wheelchair. Is situated near car-park. If cannot see where it is then ask anyone in car-park (is usually busy 9am-4pm). I was told that they are planning building new far larger toilets and this will be done within 1 or 2 years.
Staff
Excellent
I've been a few times and have always found the staff to be cheerful and willing to help in any way. Their presence certainly makes things easy and more pleasant.
Additional Information
You'll want to phone before visiting as there is only 1 tramper so far - work is though continually being done to improve access. There are numerous cafes and restaurants around (some but not all are accessible) and there is a also small cafe within the Visitors Centre. Would certainly recommend for a short (around 2 hour) visit.
