This charming cafe serving delicious food and drink is located in one of the pedestrian side street in Nice's Old Town. It had been a few years since I had been in Nice so I had done my research about what were now considered the best place for pastries and Marinette kept popping up, so I just had to go. It has a lovely outdoor seating area and step free access on the ground floor.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
There is step free outside seating with free standing table and chairs. I visited in December and it was warm enough to sit outside during the day. There are double automatic entrance doors. On the ground floor was the counter displaying plenty of delicious cakes and other food. This counter is also for people who want to purchase items to take away. I ate outside but I noticed that there were stairs leading to a seating area upstairs. I'm sorry I planned to come back another day and take more photos, but I had low spoons during my trip.

The nearest tram stop would be Cathedrale-Vieille Ville which is step free. However, I came from the sea front and walked along Carriera Dou Gouvernou and turned into Rue Colonna d'Istria, were the cafe is on your right. Look out for the former umbrella shop at 17 Carriera Dou Gouvernou, which has a painting of an umbrella on the side, which is on the corner of Rue Colonna d'Istria. It might take a bit of finding if you are not familiar with Nice's Old Town but it is definitely worth the effect.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. I went inside a select my cake but they came outside to take my order, bring my food and take payment. They described the different cakes to me when I asked.
Additional Information
Due to Christmas closing and my low spoons I regrettably did not come back here, as I had planned. It feels very much like a locals rather than a touristy place in the heart of the Old Town. When I sat outside I could see the cathedral dome. It's in a nice pedestrian side street. The cake was amazing, high quality and everything was beautifully presented. A real treasure and one I will definitely come back to. The cafe is only open daytime (December 2024). Go you will not be disappointed.
