    About

A woodland and wetland nature reserve with 1.25 miles of flat, surfaced footpaths, numerous bird hides and the chance to see kingfishers, great crested grebes and a whole host of other amazing wildlife. In summer the reserve is alive with dragonflies, butterflies and an array of wildflowers in our meadow, in autumn fungi burst from the woodland floor. We have accessible toilets, a cafe, visitor centre and a regular programme of events. The reserve is accessible 24 hours a day, and our visitor centre/cafe is open Wednesday – Sunday (10am – 4pm).

A good place for a country wall

Pay £2 at the carpark for all day parking. Enter the wooden infformation centre and there are disabled toilets and a shop. We were given a leaflet and map of reserve. Children given a tick list of things to look for. The path is flattish and easy accessed. Nice views of lake.
