Very difficult to find the hall, satnav kept taking us to a dead end drive, only walkers could use this entrance, had to ask locals for directions, so that was worrying to start with. Four generations met for afternoon tea, but what a disappointment, Moor Hall has lost its appeal, and beginning to show a lack of love and attention. Its old now, and showing, staff just haven’t quite got it, not being trained as they should, mainly youngsters who have not grasped that Keenness is needed, drinks are expensive and not worth their cost, food is certainly not worth the cost, we found sandwiches made with yesterdays bread, goodness knows how old the cakes were, tea was so string my spoon wanted to jump out, so overall, very very disappointed, and would suggest you think twice before visiting. Our photos may guide you, but be ready. Ok, it’s on the level, just one disabled bay, but it’s close to entrance, so that helps, but we found that old musty wooden smell as you walked along, it needs freshening up, it’s clean enough inside, but lost any appeal now. Toilets are near enough to bar area, very clean and tidy, so that may help.
