Great Hotel for those with some mobility
Visit date:
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Walking Aid, Wheelchair, Powerchair
Overview
Overall this was a wonderful base for us explore the Rhine and Mosel valleys. The hotel staff all spoke great English and went out of their way to accommodate and help. Our standard double room was very spacious with room for our power chair. The room was 3rd floor but a tightly squeezed lift got us up there. Fortunately Susan has some mobility, which was needed because the bathroom is not accessable for a chair and the hotels entrance ramp is very steep. Worth getting a travel kettle and some tea bags etc as not provided in room. Free parking.
Transport & Parking
Hotel had its own free car parking for guests.
Access
Entrance ramp very steep and awkward angle at top. Out of hours entrance has steps. Once in building public areas are spacious. Bathroom not accessable for wheelchair and beds are low, as is the toilet, and high step into shower cubical.
Toilets
Loo is low and in a compact en suite bathroom with no wheelchair access.
Staff
Superb friendly, english speaking staff who will go out of their way to help.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
When booking on trip advisor we noted disabiliy needs. The hotel did email us to say that rooms are not adapted for wheelchair users. We devided to stay because Susan is able to get around a room without the chair and w could get the chair to our room. We didn't expect the entry ramp to be so steep.
