Muncaster Castle, Gardens, Hawk & Owl Centre

We attended using my partners mountain trike wheelchair so we were able to go on some walks through the grounds. There are a variety of walks, some paved, some gravel and some off road. The castle itself is only wheelchair accessible to the ground floor which is to be expected in such an old building. The birds of prey show is fantastic too. There are two ticket options, one for grounds / birds show and one for these two along with the castle. They also do free carer tickets.

When I arrived by reading their website they gave the impression it was pretty accsessible. Walking round to the castle itself is full of gravel, which is no use for a wheelchair its a massive struggle. Then I'm the castle itself there was only 6 rooms you could go in. There was no video like said of the upstairs and anyone with asthma should avoid it. It's the dustiest castle I've ever been in. Not worth the money tbh. The gardens aren't even well kept
