Overview
A lovely afternoon feeding the Alpacas and Pygmy goats. Going on an alpaca walk through the calming woodland. A welcome cup of tea in the Swedish Artic Cabin followed by meeting and interacting with the small animals - rabbits, Guinea pigs, chicks and cockatoo. We bottle fed a little lamb too. This place is the epitome of inclusive.
Transport & Parking
Parking is no problem on site. It is on a gravel surface but this posed no issues because waiting for us when we arrived in the car park were electric off road wheelchairs for the wheelchair users in our group to transfer into and use during our visit. Staff helped us transfer into them and helped by driving the wheelchairs throughout the visit.
Access
We could access everywhere. The woodland trail has barked paths which accommodate the off road wheelchairs making the walk accessible to those with no or limited mobility. The artic cabin is accessible with no steps. The alpaca and goat feeding areas are tarmaced, flat and accessible.
Toilets
There is a spacious accessible portaloo on site. This is a farm area so we have to take this into consideration. Could benefit from additional support in terms of toilet handrails however we managed with no problem.
Staff
Probably the best staff we have ever encountered!! Incredibly helpful and friendly. They deal with people with a lot of respect and kindness which makes the experience so enjoyable. Booking initially with Emily was straightforward and she provided lots of information. All the staff on the day were great including the owner, Dave. It is evident he has put a lot of work and heart into this place.
