Overall Rating
Good
The National Science and Media Museum is conveniently located close to the Bradford Interchange, although car parking is harder. The slope up to the museum entrance is quite steep. Inside floors are level with a few gentle slopes, and platforms lifts to areas up steps, in addition to the main lift to navigate between floors. All exhibits are viewable from wheelchair height. Video displays are subtitled and have BSL interpretation. Braille, tactile displays, and audio descriptions are frequently found throughout the museum too. The biggest issue is that the museum lacks clear signage for routes around the exhibits, which can make navigating a little tricky. Disabled toilets are available on multiple floors. The cafe is mostly self-served from a buffet style display which is inaccessible from a wheelchair.

Thanks for this review. Happy to hear you enjoyed your visit to the Museum and found the exhibits in the new Sound and Vision galleries accessible. We have noted down those areas for improvement on signage and café areas, which is useful feedback.
