Overview

Absolutely great day out for everyone. We drove to the space centre, arriving at the opening time. There is quite alot of disabled parking. You do have to pay for it. There are lots of things to see outside too, with signs everywhere. Inside, a member of staff let us through right away to save me going around the roped queue area. When we showed our tickets, the person on the desk gave us a map and clearly highlighted the lifts and informed us that we should wait at the side of the queue for the planetarium where we would be shown in first. There are signs for loud noises and lights in the relevant areas which was great. The planetarium attendant showed us to our seats and my space for my wheelchair and was very polite. The show we saw was about mars and was fantastic. The whole space centre is fantastic, very flat everywhere and incredibly accessible. There was no place I couldn't go in my wheelchair which was really nice. You can even go inside the shuttle in your chair if you go to the back of it. The signs dont have the biggest font but I could see it quite well, and nothing was too high for me to see. The cafe is okay. It's not anything overly special but its nice enough. There are some vegan OR gluten free options buy unfortunately not both (aside from plain baked potatoes, fruit, and crisps). All of the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, and the toilets were easy to get into. Overall a fantastic day out and I cant wait to go again!
