Overview
There is a beefy mobility scooter or tramper which can be booked in advance, for free, for half a day at a time. This made a massive difference to access, I could get nearly everywhere. I was given a map with appropriate routes, and was able to explore through the meadows and woodland.
Transport & Parking
I was driven, and the parking space was close to the welcome hut, across some bark chippings. There were limited disabled spaces and the site could get busy, so it was worth arriving when the site opened (Monday morning 10am).
Access
The prebooked Tramper was fantastic. I could go through the woodland, across the meadow, over the cobbles in the stable yard... The cafe/ shop/ loo area was small and cramped. In good weather, easier to eat outside than fight to move heavy chairs about.
Toilets
The loo was inside the combined shop/ cafe. There wasn't much space outside to move about but was better once you were in.
Staff
Overstretched staff very welcoming and friendly, keen to help.
