Excellent
The cottages are especially designed for disabled people, with roll-in showers, grab-rails, low-level surfaces in the kitchen and wide doorways amongst other things, plus you can hire other equipment you may need, such as hoists, but it’s all perfectly comfortable for the able-bodied too. A lot of thought has gone into the design and the whole place is very attractive. All the cottages have some outside space – patio or garden and they sleep from 3 people in the smallest to 10 in the largest; a couple of them are two-storey with a lift.
Disabled Access In and Around
Excellent
Slightly bumpy thresholds and the small ant-tip wheels at the back of my powerchair caught on the threshold of the French windows but this particular cottage also had access to the patio from the side of the house via the front door, so no problem.
Parking & Transport
Excellent
The yard around the cottages is gravel but there are flagged paths so you can get around. You can park outside each cottage.
Accessible Toilets
Excellent
No bathroom could be perfect for everyone but this one was a proper wetroom, really spacious and with plenty of grabrails, a free-standing showerseat or a commode shower wheelchair if you prefer.
Staff
Excellent
Really friendly and helpful. Lavinia and family are on site and ready to give help and advice if needed.
