The Old Fortress was originally the city of Corfu until the 1400s.
Disabled Access In and Around
Bad
The entrance to the Old Fortress is step free involves walking on a bridge over an artificial moat. The entrance has a vaulted corridor and 2 rooms on each side which house the Byzantine Collection of Corfu and souvenir shops. Still on the level is the former English Barracks, which now house the Historical Archives of Corfu. I visited the archives and this involved going up a flight of outdoor steps with handrail, see photo, but once inside the public access to the archives is on the same level. Also on the level is St George's Church. built in the style of a Greek temple, but which was unfortunately not open the day I visited. I did notice that there appeared to be a ramp at one side of the church. The rest of the Fortress complex involves climbing up stairs, see photos. I didn't do this as it wouldn't have managed this but he views from the top are meant to be magnificent.

Corfu Town is a short 5 – 10 minutes’ drive by taxi from Corfu Airport. There are buses that serve the town centre and taxis are plentiful and quite reasonably priced.

Staff
Excellent
They only staff member was the person at the ticket office. Staff at the ticket office could see I walked with a crutch but didn't advise me how inaccessible the venue was. In the archives the staff were very helpful.
Additional Information
I was extremely disappointed at how little there was to see at ground level. There was a café up that was up some stairs. I would not recommend visiting if you have a mobility disability as there is very little of the grounds that you can explore.
