Good
We often use this small, independent cinema. It's an old building, so space is tight and there are plenty of corners to negotiate. The wheelchair spaces (Row A and C) are 4 removed seats, so plenty of space once in. Wheelchair users and their companion both get 50% off cinema ticket. Book through booking office Mon-Fri 10-4 or call in. The lift can take a powerchair and a companion. The toilet is very tricky to access in a wheelchair but possible, although if you need to transfer onto the loo, you will probably need help clearing space. Cafe bar seating area is cluttered with chairs, so wheelchair users have to be patient. If you don't like being with people in confined spaces this could also be tricky. Drinks, snacks and cakes served. They provide the following information on their web-site.. Wheelchair Users: We can accommodate up to two wheelchairs in The Old Market Hall. We have two optional spaces that can be booked up to 24 hours before the screening commences, subject to availability. Hearing Assistance: Sennheiser Infra Red hearing headsets are available at the Old Market Hall to amplify sound for hard of hearing patrons, and can be worn with or without a hearing aid. Closed Captions: Where provided with the film, we provide captions with all screenings via WatchWord, an ‘always-on’ closed-captioning accessibility system designed for deaf and hard-of-hearing customers. The closed captions are broadcasted via Wi-Fi to smart glasses, which audiences can also wear over prescription glasses.
