Overview
First visit since becoming a wheelchair user. The restaurant is fully accessible. The food here is excellent, hearty, mostly Scottish fayre. Very generous portions. Always fresh produce - the fish especially - and freshly cooked, hot to the table. Cooked to perfection, including the steak which I'd recommend, along with the Chicken Balmoral and Steak Pie. Good selection of drinks, including from the local Glen Spean brewery. The service is extremely friendly and our waitress was very chatty but not intrusively so on quite a quiet evening. She was very helpful with me being in a wheelchair. Pricing as would be expected for a restaurant at this level. The setting is lovely, being directly on one of the prettiest stations on the network in the old, now listed, station building. Quite nostalgic for someone who used to have piping lessons in the waiting room! All in all, a great traditional restaurant.
Transport & Parking
Limited parking. No specific disabled area but there are no marked spaces anyway, allowing you to park as you need (ie leave room to get out). Otherwise, plenty of street parking.
Access
Fully wheelchair accessible. Plenty of room for manoeuvrability. The ramp to the door is a bit too steep to use without help.
Toilets
Staff
Staff very welcoming and helpful to move chairs and open doors.
