    About

Since opening in 1989 Nevis Range has been welcoming guests to indulge in their mountain pursuits right here in the heart of the Highlands. As a business, we offer year-round mountain access to 200,000 skiers, snowboarders, climbers, bikers, hillwalkers and sightseers! Throughout the year, as we transition between our winter and summer seasons our team adapt from offering snow sports activities to our summer programme of mountain biking and hillwalking. As a unique mountain resort welcoming over 200,000 visitors per year and hosting some of the largest events in the mountain biking calendar, we rely on the natural beauty of the surrounding environment to give our venue its allure. As a result, all aspects of our business have a conscious focus on sustainability which has, in turn, allowed us to achieve carbon-neutral status with our next goal being to achieve Net Zero emissions. Inclusivity and accessibility sit alongside sustainability at the heart of our operation here at Nevis Range. We’re proud of how accessible our gondola makes getting up into the mountains! Whether it’s allowing individuals with disabilities to explore at altitude with their able-bodied friends and family or helping grandparents experience the mountain with their grandchildren, regardless of age and level of mobility. Our gondola can be slowed or stopped completely to allow easier access when required. It can accommodate mobility/walking aides as wide as 60cm. If a person’s wheelchair/aide exceeds 60cm we have a folding one we lend to guests for their visit. Once at the top station, guests in wheelchairs or mobility scooters have full access to The Snowgoose Café as well as our viewpoint balcony where they can enjoy some coffee with spectacular highland views perched over 2000ft up Aonach Mor.

Great way to experience the mountains

Can't book disabled tickets online, but on arrival the people are helpful. The gondola cab is pretty narrow but if you can get in it, you can borrow a chair for the top. There is a homemade ramp to get in and they can completely stop the gondola to give you time. I folded my scooter. The top is worth seeing in clear weather. The restaurant is OK for a coffee. Immediately behind the building is a very steep gravel area, so be extra careful.

    Munro Bagging in a wheelchair!

I've always wanted to climb Ben Nevis, so in a wheelchair, this was the next best thing. Various activities on site, but we went to go up Aonach Mór in Britain's only Mountain Gondola.Fantastic experience, very accessible, would highly recommend a visit.

    Wonderful experience

The gondolas are wheelchair accessible with your carer going with you for free. I was in a manual wheelchair but there was a person in a power chair at the top too. The staff slow the gondola down when you reach the top ensuring you can get off without rushing. The restuarant at top is fully accessible with a ramp & a balcony so the views are amazing - you are 650metres up Annach Mor mountain next to Ben Nevis.
